The City of Cottage Grove Hazard Mitigation Advisory Committee (HMAC) will hold its third
meeting on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM online and in the City Council
Chambers at 400 E. Main Street, Cottage Grove, OR 97424. This meeting is open to the public
and will feature a presentation of the Multi-Hazard Risk Report for the City of Cottage Grove by
Matt Williams, Geohazard Analyst with the Oregon Department of Geology and Mineral
Industries (DOGAMI). Public comment will be welcome.

The presentation will present results from the Multi-Hazard Risk Report for the City of Cottage
Grove. The report describes the methods and results of the natural hazard risk assessment
performed in 2022 by the Oregon Department of Geology and Mineral Industries (DOGAMI).
The purpose of this project is to provide the City of Cottage Grove with a detailed risk
assessment information to enable them to compare hazards and act to reduce their risk. The
risk assessment results quantify the impact of natural hazards to this community and enhance
the decision-making process in planning for disaster.
