FEE INCREASE EFFECTIVE NOVEMBER 1, 2024
Cottage Grove employs a Building Official, Electrical Specialty Code Inspector, and Building Permit Specialist/Inspector that provide full service building inspection services to the citizens of Cottage Grove, Creswell, Coburg, and Veneta. Please contact our building inspection services staff at 541-942-5501 for any questions you may have regarding building permits, plan reviews, or inspections .
The City of Cottage Grove uses ePermitting.
The City of Cottage Grove participates in the statewide ePermitting program. The full-service program lets contractors use a variety of online services, including purchasing permits, submitting electronic plans for review, receiving correction notes, printing permits, tracking permit progress and getting a Certificate of Occupancy online. Architects, engineers and homeowners can also submit documents through the system. This means anyone with access to a computer and the Internet can submit plans, track projects and buy different type of building permits online. The Building Department has five major responsibilities in Cottage Grove:
