Associate Planner

Join us as an Associate Planner and play a hands-on role in shaping Cottage Grove’s
growth. You’ll review development applications for compliance, conduct site inspections
and code enforcement, research land-use policies to guide plan updates, draft clear
reports and presentations, support grant writing and project management, and serve as
the main resource for developers, community groups, and residents navigating zoning and
procedural requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s in urban planning or a related field (AICP/CFM
preferred), hands-on GIS and planning-tool expertise, plus top-notch writing, presentation,
multitasking, and cross-team collaboration skills.

 

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm (some evening meetings required).  

Pay Rate: $5,007-$6,391 Per Month (depending on experience, skills, and qualifications). Wage is pending finalization/approval of collective bargaining agreement.
