Part-Time Environmental Services Assistant

The City of Cottage Grove is now accepting applications for a temporary part-time Environmental Services Assistant. This is a temporary part-time position of no more than 24 hours per week assisting the City Engineering Staff in overseeing the update of the City’s Sewer Code Ordinance. The Environmental Services Assistant will draft regulations for a voluntary Industrial Pretreatment Program and Fats, Oils and Grease (FOG) Program to be included in the updated Sewer Code Ordinance.  The wastewater treatment plant is a class 4 plant, with a 2.0 mgd activated sludge process rebuilt in 2006.
